With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jon Ahlbom prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Olov Henriksson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Jon Ahlbom made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Olov Henriksson got free with Jon Ahlbom in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Greger Björling received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Jon Ahlbom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Greger Björling's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jon Ahlbom read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. Hedesunda IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Greger Björling was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Olov Henriksson came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Hedesunda IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olov Henriksson couldn't finish the play. Hedesunda IK's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
