Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Bo-Erik Rosendahl got the match started through his kick off. Melker Åkesson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tor Ambjörnsson in the 5th minute. Rune Klintæus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bo-Erik Rosendahl in the 7th minute of play. The supporters of Norrköping booed when TSV Grün-Weiß Borussia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edwin Lindberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Norrköping's zone, Tor Ambjörnsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Melker Åkesson came out of the goal and Tor Ambjörnsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 12th minute of the match, Magnus Sundström tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Melker Åkesson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 14th minute, Håkan Hedkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Börje Boman took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rune Klintæus. TSV Grün-Weiß Borussia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Norrköping's goalkeeper Melker Åkesson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tor Ambjörnsson. Melker Åkesson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tor Ambjörnsson's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Magnus Sundström hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bo-Erik Rosendahl in the 36th minute of play forced TSV Grün-Weiß Borussia's goalkeeper Rune Klintæus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Norrköping's Melker Åkesson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Norrköping from getting a goal against them. Norrköping's Bo-Erik Rosendahl got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

In the 57th match minute, TSV Grün-Weiß Borussia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Magnus Sundström to maneuver through the defense. If Tor Ambjörnsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 67 played minutes Norrköping got a freekick which was hit by Börje Boman. Melker Åkesson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tor Ambjörnsson's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Magnus Sundström managed to get in a good position for a shot. TSV Grün-Weiß Borussia's supporters rose to their feet, but Magnus Sundström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Melker Åkesson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 75 minutes into the match, Tor Ambjörnsson notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Norrköping's Melker Åkesson. Melker Åkesson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 80 played minutes, TSV Grün-Weiß Borussia's Edwin Lindberg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Melker Åkesson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in TSV Grün-Weiß Borussia reached it. 81 minutes into the game, Magnus Sundström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Melker Åkesson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Norrköping's zone, Tor Ambjörnsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Melker Åkesson came out of the goal and Tor Ambjörnsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, TSV Grün-Weiß Borussia's Nicklas Askstedt got a free kick in the 86th minute. A hard shot by Jan-Åke Tunström from long distance, 88 minutes into the match, got Rune Klintæus's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Stefan Elg struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Melker Åkesson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TSV Grün-Weiß Borussia. Tor Ambjörnsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melker Åkesson having to interfere. There was no doubt that TSV Grün-Weiß Borussia were the better team. TSV Grün-Weiß Borussia's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
