Slagnäs's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gullbergs Kaj the free kick. After a rather tough play, Gullbergs Kaj's Sven-Edvin Tomasson got a free kick in the 6th minute. Tom Dahlgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Adelsköld in the 13th minute of play. The Slagnäs fans' excitement grew in the 15th match minute when Slagnäs's David Adelsköld looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to Gullbergs Kaj getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Ove Ahlkvist hit a great ball. 20 minutes into the match, Slagnäs's Klas Ahlbeck broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Ove Ahlkvist hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. 30 minutes into the game, Ove Ahlkvist was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 30th match minute, Gullbergs Kaj was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ove Ahlkvist to maneuver through the defense. Slagnäs's Valdemar Ekman got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. During the 36th minute of the match Ove Ahlkvist completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ove Ahlkvist a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Gullbergs Kaj getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Ove Ahlkvist hit a great ball. Tom Dahlgren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from David Adelsköld went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Tom Dahlgren came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Slagnäs's Valdemar Ekman. But to his dismay, Valdemar Ekman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 55 played minutes Slagnäs got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Månsson. Allan Hermansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcus Sigman having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Allan Hermansson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcus Sigman was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. In the 68th minute, Allan Hermansson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 71 played minutes Slagnäs got a freekick which was hit by Sivert Simonsson. 75 minutes into the match, Gullbergs Kaj's Allan Hermansson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcus Sigman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Valdemar Ekman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tom Dahlgren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Allan Hermansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Gullbergs Kaj defense, Valdemar Ekman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tom Dahlgren. The Gullbergs Kaj fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tom Dahlgren should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Valdemar Ekman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Slagnäs's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdemar Ekman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tom Dahlgren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 96th of the match, David Adelsköld tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Tom Dahlgren got in the way and made a wonderful save. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Slagnäs walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
