Kevin Sellberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Pontus Vik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Örebro SK's Kevin Sellberg got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fritz Ek kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Niclas Fastesson got free with Vilhelm Hybbert in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the DIF Fotboll defense, Kevin Sellberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pontus Vik. The DIF Fotboll fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pontus Vik should have stopped the shot. In the 30th minute Christer Nordström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pontus Vik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Johan Skark fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Örebro SK's protests and gave Johan Skark a yellow card for diving instead. Johan Skark kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. DIF Fotboll's Pontus Vik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christer Nordström in the 41st minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christer Nordström stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pontus Vik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christer Nordström in the 52nd minute of play. Marko Spets hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match.
