An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Kling in the 9th minute of play forced Norrfjärden's goalkeeper Andy Ambjörnsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a left leg Andy Ambjörnsson saved Norrfjärden from getting behind. When Erik Kling fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Övertorneå IF's protests and gave Erik Kling a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Övertorneå IF's Erik Kling got a free kick in the 30th minute. If Erik Kling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 46 minutes into the match, Övertorneå IF's goal looked a bit too open when Niclas Lindgren came free, but Fredrik Drewitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Calle Bergfelt to strike the kick off in the second half. Fredrik Drewitz came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Norrfjärden's Niclas Lindgren. But to his dismay, Niclas Lindgren quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Fredrik Drewitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niclas Lindgren in the 62nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Calle Bergfelt in the 67th minute of play forced Norrfjärden's goalkeeper Andy Ambjörnsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 67 minutes, Erik Kling managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Övertorneå IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erik Kling was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Norrfjärden's Andy Ambjörnsson got control of the ball when Erik Kling tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 77 minutes of play, Norrfjärden's Niclas Lindgren made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fredrik Drewitz was left in no man's land by his defense there! 88 minutes into the match, Övertorneå IF's goal looked a bit too open when Viktor Ekegren came free, but Fredrik Drewitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Norrfjärden's Andy Ambjörnsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Calle Bergfelt in the 90th minute of play. Norrfjärden were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Övertorneå IF for a fine match.
