Alf Jönsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rudolf Palm in the 35th minute of the match. After the first half FC Saltängen were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Lars Andersson came out of the goal and Ted Mårtensson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ronny Sillén recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mats Karlstedt received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alf Jönsson came out and tried to block the shot, but Mats Karlstedt slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 65th minute. Mats Karlstedt might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alf Jönsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mats Karlstedt ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 77th minute, Mats Karlstedt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 79 minutes into the match, FC Saltängen's goal looked a bit too open when Ronny Sillén came free, but Lars Andersson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alf Jönsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mats Karlstedt, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute.
