In the 3rd minute, Tystberga IF's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Östen Blom fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a defensive mix-up in FC Lägger av's zone, Lars Kilberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jon Caspersson came out of the goal and Lars Kilberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Tystberga IF defense, Pål Söderberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jim Soned. The Tystberga IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jim Soned should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Östen Blom managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Lägger av's supporters rose to their feet, but Östen Blom was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jim Soned breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Östen Blom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Jim Soned tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alexander Löfgren might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jim Soned. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alexander Löfgren ran back to his position shaking his head. Lars Kilberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jon Caspersson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Fritz Uter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tystberga IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lars Kilberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Tystberga IF getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Sven-Erik Söderquist hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lars Kilberg made a kick off. After 55 minutes FC Lägger av's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sven-Erik Söderquist who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Sven-Erik Söderquist almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Lägger av's Jon Caspersson did a great save. Östen Blom struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Jim Soned didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Lägger av. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Pål Söderberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Lägger av's supporters rose to their feet, but Pål Söderberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jim Soned breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alexander Löfgren in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jim Soned prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fritz Uter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, FC Lägger av's Jonatan Löfgren got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Fritz Uter could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Jon Caspersson made a huge save. If Alexander Löfgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jim Soned showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Östen Blom in the 79th minute of the match. 83 minutes into the game, Pål Söderberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Lägger av's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tystberga IF the free kick. Fritz Uter's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jon Caspersson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Östen Blom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 90 minutes into the game, Eddie Lund was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tystberga IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Lägger av the free kick. Eddie Lund kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Jim Soned showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexander Löfgren in the 94th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Tystberga IF's Joakim Björklund got a free kick in the 95th minute. Peder Haraldsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Lägger av fans cheered their team off the field, for while Tystberga IF had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
