Vilhelm Ivarsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvar Sundström having to interfere. Alvar Sundström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Sundberg in the 5th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sven-Ove Alkvist during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Death IF getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Sven-Ove Alkvist hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, IFK AIDS's Ted Adelsköld tried to score from far away in the 9th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Johannes Clementsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bo Skark in the 14th minute of the match. Johannes Clementsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bo Skark in the 23rd minute of play. Christian Sundberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alvar Sundström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. If Vilhelm Ivarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute Bo Skark shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johannes Clementsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Johannes Clementsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bo Skark, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Pär Gerdberg took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Johannes Clementsson. Johannes Clementsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Bo Skark sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Death IF booed when IFK AIDS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mark Burman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind IFK AIDS's goalkeeper Johannes Clementsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Bo Skark's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Johannes Clementsson was relentless in the 80th minute of the game.
