Reine Söder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Håkan Alberg having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Rikard Albäck managed to get in a good position for a shot. Busby Babes's supporters rose to their feet, but Rikard Albäck was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. John Hellström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 17 minutes into the match, Busby Babes's Calle Engström broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When Rikard Albäck came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Busby Babes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rikard Albäck couldn't finish the play. Carl Stephansson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but John Hellström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. After having played for 29 minutes, Carl Stephansson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 44th match minute, Arboga BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johannes Brun to maneuver through the defense. Arboga BF's John Hellström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Arboga BF from getting a goal against them. Håkan Alberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walter Ahlström in the 49th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Reine Söder made a kick off. If Carl Stephansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The supporters of Busby Babes booed when Arboga BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carl Palmkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Busby Babes's Rikard Albäck sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that John Hellström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Arboga BF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Busby Babes the free kick. A collision led to Arboga BF getting a freekick after 101 minutes play. Carl Palmkvist hit a great ball. In the 102nd minute of the match Calle Engström sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but John Hellström skillfully saved the ball. When the referee ended the match the Busby Babes players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
