Herbert Friberger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaf Joensson in the 5th minute of the match. In the 8th minute, FC Calmare's Gustaf Joensson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Herbert Friberger. Herbert Friberger yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Herbert Friberger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Georg Olsmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 18 minutes, Herbert Friberger successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 19th minute Georg Olsmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herbert Friberger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute, Elvendale's Christer Jonasson seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Christer Jonasson the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Elvendale protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Christer Jonasson had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 21st minute, one of Elvendale:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Elvendale. The goalkeeper, Herbert Friberger, was totally fooled by FC Calmare's Jonny Andreasson, who 23 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Ingvar Harlén fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ingvar Bergsten having to interfere. Ingvar Bergsten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingvar Harlén, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. A collision led to FC Calmare getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Roy Wallmark hit a great ball. Elvendale's defense didn't have a chance, in the 32nd minute, when Sven-Olof Sjögren scored to the left of an out of position Herbert Friberger, making the score, 3-0. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Gustaf Joensson took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Herbert Friberger to make any attempt to save it. In the 41st minute Georg Olsmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herbert Friberger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Calmare's Sven-Olof Sjögren slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Herbert Friberger. That made the score 5-0 after 43 minutes of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Georg Olsmann was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st match minute, FC Calmare was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Olof Sjögren to maneuver through the defense. Sven-Olof Sjögren charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sven-Olof Sjögren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to FC Calmare getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Sven-Olof Sjögren hit a great ball. In the 55th match minute, FC Calmare was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ove Falk to maneuver through the defense. If Oliver Martinsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Ingvar Harlén had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oliver Martinsson scored 5-1 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ingvar Bergsten, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in FC Calmare's zone, Oliver Martinsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ingvar Bergsten came out of the goal and Oliver Martinsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Herbert Friberger didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Georg Olsmann went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. In the 75th minute Sven-Olof Sjögren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herbert Friberger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, FC Calmare's Ingvar Bergsten got control of the ball when Ingvar Harlén tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Ralf Törnkvist fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Elvendale's protests and gave Ralf Törnkvist a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Elvendale's Ralf Törnkvist got a free kick in the 82nd minute. If Sven-Olof Sjögren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Elvendale defense, Gustaf Joensson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Herbert Friberger. The Elvendale fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Herbert Friberger should have stopped the shot. Roy Wallmark kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Calmare fans cheered their team off the field, for while Elvendale had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
