An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Täman in the 19th minute of play forced Forsmo Bombers FC's goalkeeper Jens-Erik Alén to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Olof Malmberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Manfred Skoog. That made the score 2-0 in the 23 minute of play. Fabian Bergström struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Manfred Skoog didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Forsmo Bombers FC. In the 33rd minute, Eddie Kollberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonard Engström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jens-Erik Alén having to interfere. Lars Täman scored 2-1 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jens-Erik Alén, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lars Täman to strike the kick off in the second half. Manfred Skoog showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olof Malmberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Forsmo Bombers FC's Jens-Erik Alén played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lars Täman in the 54th minute of play. Manfred Skoog took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olof Malmberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Michael Tunström during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Michael Tunström hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Charlie Blomqvist charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Charlie Blomqvist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Olympique Lund booed when Forsmo Bombers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charlie Blomqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Olympique Lund's Manfred Skoog played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olof Malmberg in the 80th minute of play. Eddie Kollberg was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 85 minutes into the match. 84 minutes into the game, one of Forsmo Bombers FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. If Lars Täman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Forsmo Bombers FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
