Små Gröna Män's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benjamin Biörling was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 13 minutes into the match, Alf Billvall had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Östen Lundblad. Samlaget's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alf Billvall was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Östen Lundblad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Biörling, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alf Billvall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Östen Lundblad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Samlaget's Stig Wennersten got a free kick in the 20th minute. 22 minutes into the match, Benjamin Biörling notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Samlaget's Östen Lundblad. Östen Lundblad was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 29th minute, Harald Gregersson made a precise shot to the right of Östen Lundblad. Samlaget's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. In the 32nd minute, Malte Rosén hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Östen Lundblad stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benjamin Biörling's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. After some careless play in the Samlaget defense, Benjamin Biörling kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Östen Lundblad. The Samlaget fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Östen Lundblad should have stopped the shot. In the 40thth minute of the game Benjamin Biörling who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Samlaget's Östen Lundblad was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 42 minutes of play, Små Gröna Män's Alf Billvall made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Östen Lundblad was left in no man's land by his defense there! Joakim Gernberg hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Östen Lundblad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alf Billvall in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sven-Erik Dahlman was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Samlaget's goalkeeper Östen Lundblad had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benjamin Biörling. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven-Erik Dahlman in the 53rd minute of play forced Små Gröna Män's goalkeeper Arman Dahlberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Östen Lundblad made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benjamin Biörling in the 55th minute. After some careless play in the Samlaget defense, Alf Billvall kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Östen Lundblad. The Samlaget fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Östen Lundblad should have stopped the shot. In the 63rd minute, Alf Billvall made a precise shot to the right of Östen Lundblad. Östen Lundblad was a little too slow when Alf Billvall got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 69th minute. The score was now 0-8. Sven-Erik Dahlman kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, Samlaget's goalkeeper Östen Lundblad had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benjamin Biörling. In the 78th minute Andreas Hermansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Östen Lundblad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute, Malte Rosén got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Harald Gregersson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Östen Lundblad made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benjamin Biörling in the 92nd minute. 93 minutes into the match, Samlaget's goal looked a bit too open when Harald Gregersson came free, but Östen Lundblad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Små Gröna Män's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
