After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Ingemar Rolandsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skillinge BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Ingemar Rolandsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fredric Söderlund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Strängnäs BK's Fredric Söderlund proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Strängnäs BK from getting a goal against them. When Ingemar Rolandsson came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Skillinge BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ingemar Rolandsson couldn't finish the play. In the 12th match minute, Strängnäs BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivar Adelsköld to maneuver through the defense. Strängnäs BK's Fredric Söderlund proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Strängnäs BK from getting a goal against them. In the 18th minute, Jan-Erik Lövgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ivar Adelsköld blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mark Sandström having to make a save. Håkan Frisk might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mark Sandström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Håkan Frisk ran back to his position shaking his head. Fredric Söderlund was out of position in the 25 minute of play, and Ingemar Rolandsson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ingemar Rolandsson really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 28 minutes into the game, Jörgen Olsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Fredric Söderlund was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jörgen Olsson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 34thth minute, Fredric Söderlund skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 35th minute Ingemar Rolandsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fredric Söderlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Strängnäs BK's Ivar Adelsköld got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee felt a red card was in order, 47 minutes into the game, when Alex Henriksson put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Strängnäs BK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 46th minute. Penalty!

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ingemar Rolandsson made a kick off. Fredric Söderlund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jörgen Olsson in the 53rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ingemar Rolandsson in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fredric Söderlund prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 60 minutes into the match, Strängnäs BK's goal looked a bit too open when Ingemar Rolandsson came free, but Fredric Söderlund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ingemar Rolandsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fredric Söderlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingemar Rolandsson in the 63rd minute of play. After 64 played minutes Strängnäs BK got a freekick which was hit by Håkan Frisk. Jörgen Olsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee ignored Strängnäs BK's protests and gave Roger Askstedt a yellow card for diving instead. Fredric Söderlund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ingemar Rolandsson in the 86th minute of the match. In the 88th minute, Roger Askstedt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Håkan Frisk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evert Nordlander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Skillinge BK's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
