Sverker Kihlberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee gave Fegen RK a penalty, 9 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Sverker Kihlberg, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Aros Vandals's Olov Magnusson. 0-1. In the 12th minute, Jarl Bank hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Christer Björkdahl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jarl Bank fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michael Västerberg having to interfere. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Aros Vandals's goalkeeper Olov Magnusson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 22 minutes into the game, Jarl Bank recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Michael Västerberg. Jarl Bank showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. When Jarl Bank came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Aros Vandals fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jarl Bank couldn't finish the play. After 35 played minutes, Fegen RK's Gustav Stenquist shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Olov Magnusson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fegen RK reached it. Michael Västerberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jarl Bank, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sverker Kihlberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jarl Bank who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 47thth minute tested the skills of Michael Västerberg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jarl Bank to strike the kick off in the second half. Jarl Bank received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Michael Västerberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 53rd minute, Christer Björkdahl got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 59th minute, Roger Pihlblad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 65 played minutes Aros Vandals got a freekick which was hit by Viktor Lidberg. After a rather tough play, Fegen RK's Åke Kilman got a free kick in the 67th minute. Christer Björkdahl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mattias Sundén hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Niklas Lundgren came free in the 91st minute and tried to tip the ball over Olov Magnusson, but to the joy of Aros Vandals's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jarl Bank in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Michael Västerberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
