Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sonny Jönsson in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Torbjörn Månsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erik Gunnarsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Jim Bäck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torbjörn Månsson having to interfere. In the 88th minute Jim Bäck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torbjörn Månsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
