The goalkeeper, Bernt Julin, was totally fooled by Seed's Stig Fredriksson, who 6 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. With an all-out effort, Seed's Bernt Julin threw himself towards the right post 10 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ingmar Vallander, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Stefan Snäll charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stefan Snäll the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Stefan Snäll hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute Timmy Höijer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernt Julin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute, Överlida's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gunnar Kjellberg fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Bernt Julin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Timmy Höijer showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 20 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Överlida's Karl-Magnus Kilman got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Bernt Julin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ingmar Vallander went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. The supporters of Överlida booed when Seed was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gunnar Kjellberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stig Tunander to make the kick off. Bernt Julin was left in no man's land by his defense there! There was no doubt that Seed were the better team. Seed's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
