Guido Di Persio might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gustaf Dusett. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guido Di Persio ran back to his position shaking his head. After 34 played minutes FC Mattsson got a freekick which was hit by Jan-Erik Sandberg. Leonel Alvarez charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonel Alvarez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 38 played minutes RCFC Academy got a freekick which was hit by Leonel Alvarez. The coaching staff of RCFC Academy protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Leonel Alvarez had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The FC Mattsson fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-5. If Alexander Tholsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. Evert Bruse's late challenge caught a FC Mattsson's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evert Bruse helped the player get up and apologised. After 70 played minutes RCFC Academy got a freekick which was hit by Evert Bruse. RCFC Academy's Sven-Oskar Bergström pulled a muscle in his back after 78 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 79 minutes into the game, Måns Söderkvist was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Mattsson's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RCFC Academy the free kick. In the 80th match minute, FC Mattsson was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Måns Söderkvist to maneuver through the defense. After 82 played minutes, RCFC Academy's Nils-Åke Brogren shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gustaf Dusett came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in RCFC Academy reached it. If August Broman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute, Måns Söderkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Jörn Trulsson came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the FC Mattsson fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jörn Trulsson couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle sounded RCFC Academy left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Mattsson.
