Osvald Ahlstedt started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Wilhelm Ek had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Staffan Drewitz. AUDI R8's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wilhelm Ek was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After having played for 7 minutes, Wilhelm Ek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fagersta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilhelm Ek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nils-Åke Nordström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Fagersta booed when AUDI R8 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nils-Åke Nordström didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute Wilhelm Ek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Staffan Drewitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20thth minute of the game Wilhelm Ek who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AUDI R8's Staffan Drewitz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 21st minute, Conny Uggla ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Staffan Drewitz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Wilhelm Ek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Staffan Drewitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wilhelm Ek in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Staffan Drewitz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Göran Lindberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anders Wickander in the 29th minute. Anders Wickander took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Göran Lindberg. Göran Lindberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The Fagersta fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when Fagersta's Jonas Öberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 38th minute, Ulf Aleberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fagersta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. The crowd rose to their feet as Jonas Öberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Staffan Drewitz. That made the score 1-5 in the 58 minute of play. If Nils-Åke Nordström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 65 played minutes AUDI R8 got a freekick which was hit by Frank Pettersson. In the 67th minute Nils-Åke Nordström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Göran Lindberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69thth minute of the game Wilhelm Ek who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AUDI R8's Staffan Drewitz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 69 minutes, Anders Beckman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AUDI R8 and the Fagersta players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 70th minute, Anders Beckman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, AUDI R8's Staffan Drewitz got control of the ball when Wilhelm Ek tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match clock showed 75 minutes, the score became 1-6 when Jonas Öberg sped through AUDI R8's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Staffan Drewitz. The Fagersta fans' excitement grew in the 80th match minute when Fagersta's Wilhelm Ek looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-7 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Anders Wickander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Göran Lindberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvald Ahlstedt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wilhelm Ek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Staffan Drewitz having to interfere.
