The Leeds United FC fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when Leeds United FC's Marc Öfverman looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience was convinced that Leonardo Melberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edmund Österberg was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. 23 minutes into the match, Leeds United FC's Leonardo Melberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edmund Österberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Edmund Österberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leonardo Melberg made a kick off. With a little luck, Stångby BK's Edmund Österberg got control of the ball when Leonardo Melberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Kenny Nordlund came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Leeds United FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kenny Nordlund couldn't finish the play. Leonardo Melberg's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 82ndth minute, Edmund Österberg skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Börje Lindsten came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Leeds United FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Börje Lindsten couldn't finish the play. In the 84th minute, Börje Lindsten ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edmund Österberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-11. Edmund Österberg didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 91st minute, which inside left pole to 0-13. Leeds United FC played a much better game than Stångby BK and deserved their victory. The Stångby BK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
