Attila Henter took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kristoffer Hök. Kristoffer Hök dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Västerfärnebo FK's Kristoffer Hök played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ximun Domingo in the 22nd minute of play. Jörn Lundström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Niclas Sundberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Algot Aleberg charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Jörn Lundström might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Niclas Sundberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 42nd minute Attila Henter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristoffer Hök saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Västerfärnebo FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Boris Myhr was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Niclas Sundberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jörn Lundström to make the kick off.
