The supporters of IFK Göteborg booed when Bulate IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hubert Vennerkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. IFK Göteborg's Karl Hellqvist got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Bulate IF's zone, Karl Hellqvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bengt Aleberg came out of the goal and Karl Hellqvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tage Ekgren kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Karl Hellqvist to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in IFK Göteborg's zone, Emanuel Håkansson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Georg Elg came out of the goal and Emanuel Håkansson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Georg Elg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Håkansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. If Karl Hellqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Bulate IF booed when IFK Göteborg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ralf Larsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emanuel Håkansson took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Georg Elg. Georg Elg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Bulate IF fully deserved thier win.
