After 40 minutes, Adrian Gråberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hällby Hellballers and the Norrtälje FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Birger Galle fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hällby Hellballers's protests and gave Birger Galle a yellow card for diving instead. Birger Galle hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Dag Sundberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hällby Hellballers's supporters rose to their feet, but Dag Sundberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Norrtälje FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
