Tanek Madej made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Mickelsson in the 26th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Katrineholms AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Orvar Holm came free, but Tanek Madej reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tanek Madej showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orvar Holm in the 30th minute of the match. Tanek Madej took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orvar Holm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Torgny Nyström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Sven-Åke Lidman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Felix Söderqwist had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sven-Åke Lidman. Stugun's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felix Söderqwist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 46th minute Orvar Holm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tanek Madej saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Orvar Holm stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Sverker Anundsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute Felix Söderqwist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Åke Lidman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute, Hans Linberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Felix Söderqwist kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexander Mickelsson in the 73rd minute of play forced Katrineholms AIK's goalkeeper Tanek Madej to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mark Petersson charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mark Petersson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 83 minutes, Orvar Holm mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stugun and the Katrineholms AIK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 83 played minutes Stugun got a freekick which was hit by Orvar Holm.
