Tanek Madej didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gian VM. After having played for 9 minutes, Arvin Borre managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gian VM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arvin Borre was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Katrineholms AIK's goalkeeper Tanek Madej, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Arvin Borre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Gian VM booed when Katrineholms AIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thor Jönsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Vinko Šalov sped through Katrineholms AIK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tanek Madej. Tanek Madej showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arvin Borre, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After a rather tough play, Gian VM's Börje Bergman got a free kick in the 22nd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Mark Petersson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jeremiah Gloeckner. That made the score 1-1 in the 25 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arvin Borre in the 32nd minute of play forced Katrineholms AIK's goalkeeper Tanek Madej to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeremiah Gloeckner didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Torgny Nyström went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Tanek Madej took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vinko Šalov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 45 minutes into the match, Katrineholms AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Arvin Borre came free, but Tanek Madej reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Vinko Šalov came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Gian VM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vinko Šalov couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Torgny Nyström was the one to do the kick off. The throw-in from Olov Sandberg in the 53rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Gian VM's Alexander Rydelius. 54 minutes into the match, Vinko Šalov dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tanek Madej, 2-2. Vinko Šalov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tanek Madej having to interfere. 61 minutes into the game, one of Gian VM:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a rather tough play, Katrineholms AIK's Zebastian Abrahamsson got a free kick in the 68th minute. A collision led to Gian VM getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Alexander Rydelius hit a great ball. 75 minutes into the match, Arvin Borre notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of Katrineholms AIK's Tanek Madej. Tanek Madej was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Katrineholms AIK's Torgny Nyström in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gian VM's goalie prevented a goal. Tanek Madej made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hans Kvarnström in the 83rd minute.
