An unexpectedly hard shot by Sten Henriksson in the 7th minute of play forced Påryd IFK's goalkeeper Gösta Hafström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute, Kennet Olofsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BK Botz fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 17th minute, Kennet Olofsson made a precise shot to the right of Gösta Hafström. Påryd IFK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. After 28 minutes, Sten Henriksson made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Påryd IFK's Gösta Hafström tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match clock showed 31 minutes, the score became 0-6 when Kennet Olofsson sped through Påryd IFK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gösta Hafström. When Kennet Olofsson came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the BK Botz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kennet Olofsson couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kennet Olofsson in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gösta Hafström saved Påryd IFK from getting behind. When Börge Dahlquist came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the BK Botz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Börge Dahlquist couldn't finish the play. In the 42nd minute Kennet Olofsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gösta Hafström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Greger Thidén showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Häll, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The Påryd IFK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. BK Botz were winning 0-6.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sten Henriksson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sten Henriksson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gösta Hafström having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 57 minutes, Gösta Hafström successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some careless play in the BK Botz defense, Klas Åkerström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Greger Thidén. The BK Botz fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Greger Thidén should have stopped the shot. When Kennet Olofsson came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the BK Botz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kennet Olofsson couldn't finish the play. In the 64th minute Jonas Häll shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Greger Thidén saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the match, Kennet Olofsson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gösta Hafström, 1-7. BK Botz's Sten Henriksson got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 75 minutes, Jonas Häll managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Påryd IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonas Häll was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 76 played minutes BK Botz got a freekick which was hit by Kennet Olofsson. After a rather tough play, Påryd IFK's Klas Åkerström got a free kick in the 79th minute. Gösta Hafström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sten Henriksson in the 82nd minute of play. In the 85th match minute, Påryd IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Häll to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute, Klas Åkerström made a precise shot to the right of Greger Thidén. BK Botz's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-7. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. BK Botz had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
