If Filiph Arvidsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Henning Nyman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sten Unesson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sebastian Svensson kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. A collision led to Himna FF getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Leonardo Biörk hit a great ball. 8 minutes into the match, Himna FF's goal looked a bit too open when Sten Groth came free, but Henning Nyman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cosmin Lamru made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maciej Mruk in the 9th minute. Cosmin Lamru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maciej Mruk in the 16th minute of play. Cosmin Lamru made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Luiz Lourenco sent off a good shot on target. After 22 minutes, Sten Unesson made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Himna FF's Henning Nyman tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Himna FF's Mårten Lindberg in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vänern's goalie prevented a goal. With his leg Cosmin Lamru managed to avoid a goal in the 31stth minute, when Himna FF's Mårten Lindberg fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ramon Betadur kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Sten Groth took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Henning Nyman. Henning Nyman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 46 minutes into the match, Sten Unesson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Henning Nyman. Himna FF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sten Unesson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Sten Unesson made the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Vilhelm Wiklund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Mårten Lindberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Himna FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Mårten Lindberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cosmin Lamru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Magnus Bergren received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Henning Nyman came out and tried to block the shot, but Magnus Bergren slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 65th minute. Sten Groth recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 79th match minute, Himna FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maciej Mruk to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ramon Betadur got free with Henning Nyman in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cosmin Lamru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mårten Lindberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Cosmin Lamru stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mårten Lindberg's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Magnus Bergren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vänern's Ramon Betadur quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Stian Backman, made in the 94th minute of the game. In the 95th minute, Ramon Betadur ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Henning Nyman was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Vänern's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
