Pelle Möllgren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rune Olofsson in the 3rd minute. If Frans Johansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Timmy Hedström lost his temper 9 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 8th minute of the game. One of Ströms Diamonds:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of AC United:s goal. AC United's Roger Ekberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Bertin in the 12th minute of play. The corner led Ströms Diamonds's Dodi Darodjatun to fire away a dangerous shot which Roger Ekberg despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 16th minute Cafer İzzettin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Ekberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sabin Ieremia in the 18th minute of play forced Ströms Diamonds's goalkeeper Pelle Möllgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Ströms Diamonds's Cafer İzzettin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roger Ekberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Cafer İzzettin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the match, Ströms Diamonds's goal looked a bit too open when Rune Olofsson came free, but Pelle Möllgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roger Ekberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Bertin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. AC United's Roger Ekberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cafer İzzettin in the 29th minute of play. Adi Risnandar made a great header on Ströms Diamonds's corner, it was just that AC United's Roger Ekberg managed to reach the ball for a save. After some careless play in the Ströms Diamonds defense, Bernt Carlberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pelle Möllgren. The Ströms Diamonds fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pelle Möllgren should have stopped the shot. 37 minutes into the match, AC United's goal looked a bit too open when Cafer İzzettin came free, but Roger Ekberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Ströms Diamonds getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Dodi Darodjatun hit a great ball. In the 44th minute, Bernt Carlberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pelle Möllgren was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Pelle Möllgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rune Olofsson in the 47th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cafer İzzettin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Ströms Diamonds booed when AC United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egil Tidéksson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pelle Möllgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernt Carlberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pelle Möllgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rune Olofsson in the 57th minute of the match. In the 64th minute, Cafer İzzettin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Roger Ekberg. The goal made the score 3-1. Pelle Möllgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Lindman in the 66th minute of the match. In the 70th minute Rune Olofsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pelle Möllgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rune Olofsson in the 72nd minute of play forced Ströms Diamonds's goalkeeper Pelle Möllgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute Joel Lindman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pelle Möllgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AC United made a substitution. Mårten Melin replaced Egil Tidéksson. After a rather tough play, Ströms Diamonds's Tomas Vik got a free kick in the 77th minute. Arne Alén took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 78th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pelle Möllgren. Ströms Diamonds's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Angelo Bertin struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Roger Ekberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ströms Diamonds. After a defensive mix-up in AC United's zone, Cafer İzzettin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roger Ekberg came out of the goal and Cafer İzzettin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 90th play minutes Cafer İzzettin shot 3-2, a short shot which went by Roger Ekberg and just under the crossbar into goal. Pelle Möllgren came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by AC United's Sabin Ieremia. But to his dismay, Sabin Ieremia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. There was no doubt that AC United were the better team. AC United's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
