The coaching staff of FC Ahlin protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Helge Alebäck had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 5 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Ahlin! FC Ahlin's Anton Utfal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nils Sjöberg in the 14th minute of play. In the 16th minute Daniele Cimino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anton Utfal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Börje Granström kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Daniele Cimino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anton Utfal was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Ahlin's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Kjell-Arne Grep was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Underdogs's players had a chance to rest. FC Underdogs's Kjell-Arne Grep was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Anton Utfal in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a little luck, FC Ahlin's Anton Utfal got control of the ball when Daniele Cimino tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Kjell-Arne Åström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruno Troiani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anton Utfal having to interfere. Lennart Browall showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Greger Pilblad in the 31st minute of the match. FC Ahlin's Anton Utfal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save FC Ahlin from getting a goal against them. The supporters of FC Underdogs booed when FC Ahlin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Greger Pilblad didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, FC Ahlin's Anton Utfal got control of the ball when Daniele Cimino tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 37th minute of the match FC Underdogs got a corner. FC Ahlin's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Kjell-Arne Grep ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Kjell-Arne Grep got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Anton Utfal quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 40th minute Greger Pilblad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lennart Browall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 41 played minutes FC Underdogs got a freekick which was hit by Kjell-Arne Åström.

55 minutes into the match, FC Ahlin's goal looked a bit too open when Nils Sjöberg came free, but Anton Utfal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lennart Browall made an important save on a dangerous shot by Greger Pilblad in the 58th minute. In the 59th minute Daniele Cimino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anton Utfal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Underdogs's Lennart Browall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Greger Pilblad in the 60th minute of play. With a little luck, FC Underdogs's Lennart Browall got control of the ball when Emanuel Larsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Kjell-Arne Åström managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Underdogs's supporters rose to their feet, but Kjell-Arne Åström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anton Utfal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kjell-Arne Grep sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniele Cimino in the 82nd minute of play forced FC Ahlin's goalkeeper Anton Utfal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute Nils Sjöberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anton Utfal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anton Utfal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniele Cimino went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. FC Underdogs's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
