The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute Santo Ekain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niclas Vennerdal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santo Ekain blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Niclas Vennerdal having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santo Ekain in the 7th minute of play forced Kolsva FK's goalkeeper Niclas Vennerdal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santo Ekain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Niclas Vennerdal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santo Ekain in the 10th minute of play. FC Defenders's Bengt-Rune Vallengren quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Silvério Zambujal, made in the 12th minute of the game. Santo Ekain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Niclas Vennerdal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santo Ekain, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Folke Grelsson was extremely unlucky when he, in the 16th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Kolsva FK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Karl Kinell in the 21st minute. After taking down the ball on Kolsva FK's corner Karl Kinell fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Kevin Lang quite easily take care of the ball. In the 24th play minute Ivar Persson came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Kevin Lang. 1-0. FC Defenders's Kevin Lang proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save FC Defenders from getting a goal against them. Niclas Vennerdal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santo Ekain in the 29th minute of play. 32 minutes into the game, Santo Ekain cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Niclas Vennerdal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 36 played minutes FC Defenders got a freekick which was hit by Bengt-Rune Vallengren. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 42nd minute of the game. One of Kolsva FK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Defenders:s goal. Niclas Vennerdal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Santo Ekain's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. 47 minutes in the game, Folke Grelsson fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Kevin Lang having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ivan Majlandt to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Ivan Majlandt recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Niclas Vennerdal. Ivan Majlandt showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. In the 56th match minute, Kolsva FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leif Holm to maneuver through the defense. Niclas Vennerdal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Santo Ekain in the 57th minute. Folke Grelsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 60 minutes into the match, Kolsva FK's goalkeeper Niclas Vennerdal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ivan Majlandt. 62 minutes into the game, Bengt-Rune Vallengren threw the ball into play from the sideline. Kolsva FK's Folke Grelsson quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Ivar Persson hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Ivar Persson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kevin Lang was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Folke Grelsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevin Lang having to interfere. Kolsva FK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 70th minute, when Santo Ekain scored to the left of an out of position Niclas Vennerdal, making the score, 1-3. If Santo Ekain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 83rd minute Ivar Persson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kevin Lang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Michael Nordström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Defenders's Santo Ekain got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Silvério Zambujal during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
