An unexpectedly hard shot by Milan Pavlovský in the 12th minute of play forced Wyoming Cowboys's goalkeeper Henning Berglund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Stockholm Generals's Kurt Holmberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Henning Berglund narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lanny Lilly's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ivar Unesson firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 40th minute Alexis Sánchez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henning Berglund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Milan Pavlovský could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Henning Berglund made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mats McNamara during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
