In the 23rd match minute, Bagarmossen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johan Berglund to maneuver through the defense. Jan Alegren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johan Berglund in the 28th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulrik Runeberg in the 31st minute of play forced IFK Åmål's goalkeeper Jan Alegren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olov Blomqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliver Ahlström in the 36th minute of play. After some careless play in the Bagarmossen defense, Oliver Ahlström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Olov Blomqvist. The Bagarmossen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olov Blomqvist should have stopped the shot. If Sergio Vellito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kåre Sjödin kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 43rd minute Sergio Vellito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olov Blomqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olov Blomqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Calvet Urizar in the 44th minute. Calvet Urizar took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Olov Blomqvist. Olov Blomqvist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Olov Blomqvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. 77 minutes into the match, Bagarmossen's goal looked a bit too open when Oliver Ahlström came free, but Olov Blomqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Oliver Ahlström's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olov Blomqvist was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. In the 96th match minute, Bagarmossen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jens Jonsson to maneuver through the defense. 97 minutes into the match, IFK Åmål's Börje Jönsson broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. IFK Åmål had won after a very even match.
