The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Göteborg 1904 booed when The Olsson FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ingmar Byström didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 3 played minutes The Olsson FC got a freekick which was hit by Matia Nastasič. Marko Apelquist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hubert Classon having to interfere. Marko Apelquist took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 6th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hubert Classon. The Olsson FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 8 minutes into the game, Codruț Capisizu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Hubert Classon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hubert Classon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marko Apelquist in the 13th minute of play. Hubert Classon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Codruț Capisizu's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. The Olsson FC's Hubert Classon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marko Apelquist in the 17th minute of play. Hubert Classon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Codruț Capisizu, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Codruț Capisizu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hubert Classon having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Codruț Capisizu got free with Hubert Classon in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joacim Sundin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvin Pålsson in the 28th minute of play. Hubert Classon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Codruț Capisizu's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Codruț Capisizu in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hubert Classon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Codruț Capisizu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Codruț Capisizu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 42 minutes, Codruț Capisizu made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. The Olsson FC's Hubert Classon tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Codruț Capisizu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hubert Classon having to interfere.

Joacim Sundin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miles Davis in the 52nd minute of the match. Codruț Capisizu might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hubert Classon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Codruț Capisizu ran back to his position shaking his head. Codruț Capisizu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Hubert Classon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ragnar Ekegren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joacim Sundin having to interfere. Göteborg 1904's Codruț Capisizu got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Codruț Capisizu in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hubert Classon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hubert Classon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Benet in the 76th minute of play. 77 minutes had been played when some careless play by The Olsson FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Codruț Capisizu was slow to take the kick. During this time Göteborg 1904's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Roland Holmberg almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but The Olsson FC's Hubert Classon did a great save. Hubert Classon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Codruț Capisizu, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. The audience was convinced that Codruț Capisizu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hubert Classon was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. In the 82nd minute, Codruț Capisizu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. When the match clock showed 91 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Codruț Capisizu sped through The Olsson FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hubert Classon.
