The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th match minute, Bellmans pöjkar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zebastian Mårtensson to maneuver through the defense. The Bellmans pöjkar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leif Wennerqvist should have stopped the shot. Leif Wennerqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elliott Uggla in the 12th minute of play. Torsten Wallin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Ingmar Lind tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute, Elliott Uggla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vejbystrand IFK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Elliott Uggla scored 0-3 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leif Wennerqvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 26 minutes into the match, Vejbystrand IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Torsten Wallin came free, but Ingmar Lind reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Birger Bålström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leif Wennerqvist having to interfere. Leo Lindholm recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 32nd minute, Patrik Hellgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute, Birger Bålström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leif Wennerqvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. 37 minutes into the game, Leo Lindholm cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Ingmar Lind was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Leif Wennerqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Birger Bålström, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Torsten Wallin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ingmar Lind having to interfere. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leo Lindholm was the one to do the kick off. Bellmans pöjkar's Leif Wennerqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elliott Uggla in the 54th minute of play. Leif Wennerqvist was out of position in the 57 minute of play, and Birger Bålström capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Birger Bålström really showed his touch with that goal: 1-6. Through an outstanding action, after 61 minutes, Leif Wennerqvist successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a rather tough play, Vejbystrand IFK's Leif Lundblad got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Emil Söder kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Sebastian Walroth took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ingmar Lind. Ingmar Lind dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-6. Birger Bålström took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leif Wennerqvist. With a little luck, Bellmans pöjkar's Leif Wennerqvist got control of the ball when Birger Bålström tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bellmans pöjkar's defense didn't have a chance, in the 84th minute, when Elliott Uggla scored to the left of an out of position Leif Wennerqvist, making the score, 2-9. Birger Bålström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leif Wennerqvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Vejbystrand IFK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Patrik Hafström in the 92nd minute. The corner ended in Patrik Hafström almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Bellmans pöjkar's Leif Wennerqvist did a great save. Leif Wennerqvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Birger Bålström's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. The Bellmans pöjkar supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Vejbystrand IFK's performance. The match ended with a win for Vejbystrand IFK.
