After a rather tough play, Manchester United's Ola Käcker got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Sverker Hammarberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leif Ekelund in the 3rd minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 6 minutes, Allan Ödmann successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Sverker Hammarberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leif Ekelund, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. After a rather tough play, Bälinge's Leif Ekelund got a free kick in the 8th minute. When Stig Örtlund came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Manchester United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stig Örtlund couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Bälinge's Jan-Åke Soned got a free kick in the 15th minute. Dan Hansson hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Sven-Arne Beckström lost his temper 24 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 24 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Bälinge! Bälinge:s Allan Ödmann showed great skill when he stopped Elder do Valle:s penalty. 26 minutes into the match, Bälinge's goal looked a bit too open when Elder do Valle came free, but Allan Ödmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Bälinge getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Adam Bergren hit a great ball. Ola Käcker's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Allan Ödmann firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Manchester United's zone, Börje Låsberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sverker Hammarberg came out of the goal and Börje Låsberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 36 minutes into the match, Bälinge's goal looked a bit too open when Elder do Valle came free, but Allan Ödmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 46 played minutes Bälinge got a freekick which was hit by Dennis Clementsson.

Jan-Åke Soned kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Staffan Söderström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sverker Hammarberg having to interfere. In the 58th minute, Rolf Kihlberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 64 played minutes Bälinge got a freekick which was hit by Börje Låsberg. After 67 played minutes Bälinge got a freekick which was hit by Jan-Åke Soned. Rolf Kihlberg kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Dennis Clementsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th match minute, Manchester United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilhelm Sjöberg to maneuver through the defense. In the 89th minute Wilhelm Sjöberg suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Staffan Söderström fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bälinge's protests and gave Staffan Söderström a yellow card for diving instead. Manchester United's Ingvar Lägdin was substituted for Wilhelm Sjöberg. The supporters of Manchester United booed when Bälinge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Staffan Söderström didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Bälinge's zone, Stig Örtlund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Allan Ödmann came out of the goal and Stig Örtlund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
