After a defensive mix-up in Sumpan FC's zone, Walter Nyberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Agne Målare came out of the goal and Walter Nyberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Bengt-Rune Dahlman kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Frank Bergkvist. That made the score 2-0 in the 32 minute of play. Frank Bergkvist made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Bengt-Rune Dahlman sent off a good shot on target. Erik Sefastsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Agne Målare tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Helge Thedin in the 41st minute of play forced IFK Mysingsö's goalkeeper Frank Bergkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alex Almqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
