In the 8th minute Jim Liljeström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Ivarsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 8 minutes into the match, Björnlunda IF's goal looked a bit too open when Jim Liljeström came free, but Peter Ivarsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Timmy Blom made in the 16th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Alexander Julin. Björnlunda IF's Peter Ivarsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bengt Almkvist in the 19th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Björnlunda IF's Eric Olofsson got a free kick in the 20th minute. Peter Ivarsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jim Liljeström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sven-Edvin Blixt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Eric Olofsson came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Björnlunda IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eric Olofsson couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Lobster if's Albert Hedkvist got control of the ball when Eric Olofsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Bo-Erik Grubb fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Björnlunda IF's protests and gave Bo-Erik Grubb a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Björnlunda IF's Bo-Erik Grubb got a free kick in the 31st minute. Peter Ivarsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bengt Almkvist in the 33rd minute of the match. After having played for 34 minutes, Eric Olofsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Björnlunda IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eric Olofsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bo-Erik Grubb hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Lobster if defense, Eric Olofsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Albert Hedkvist. The Lobster if fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Albert Hedkvist should have stopped the shot. Ralf Mattsson made in the 42nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Bengt Almkvist. Eric Olofsson came free with the goalkeeper in the 44th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Albert Hedkvist could save by the left post. Albert Hedkvist was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Sven-Edvin Blixt capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sven-Edvin Blixt really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bengt Almkvist was the one to do the kick off. Peter Ivarsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Julin in the 51st minute of play. With an all-out effort, Lobster if's Peter Ivarsson threw himself towards the right post 56 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bengt Almkvist, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ralf Mattsson's late challenge caught a Björnlunda IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ralf Mattsson helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Lobster if's Ralf Mattsson got a free kick in the 59th minute. Albert Hedkvist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sven-Edvin Blixt went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. 68 minutes into the game, Eric Olofsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Albert Hedkvist was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 71st minute, Eric Olofsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 73rd minute, Eric Olofsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Albert Hedkvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jim Liljeström got free with Peter Ivarsson in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Peter Ivarsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bengt Almkvist in the 94th minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Björnlunda IF's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt Almkvist came free, but Peter Ivarsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Lobster if players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Björnlunda IF.
