Lennart Nyberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mikael Willig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Göran Springfält in the 5th minute of play forced Sunderland FC's goalkeeper Lennart Nyberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 6 minutes into the match, FC Attunda's goal looked a bit too open when Björn Gregersson came free, but Pavel Kárník reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mikael Willig could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Lennart Nyberg made a huge save. After 9 played minutes Sunderland FC got a freekick which was hit by Henry Grönlund. After 10 minutes, Ulf Odén mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sunderland FC and the FC Attunda players grew even worse after the yellow card. FC Attunda made a substitution. Ronny Alstedt replaced Olof Säfström. The supporters of FC Attunda booed when Sunderland FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulf Odén didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pavel Kárník came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Sunderland FC's Henry Grönlund. But to his dismay, Henry Grönlund quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 16 minutes into the match, Rutger Olsmann notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of FC Attunda's Pavel Kárník. Pavel Kárník was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 21st match minute, FC Attunda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Måns Örtendahl to maneuver through the defense. FC Attunda's Pavel Kárník played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Björn Gregersson in the 24th minute of play. Lennart Nyberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mikael Willig in the 27th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Göran Springfält in the 30th minute of play forced Sunderland FC's goalkeeper Lennart Nyberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henry Grönlund took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pavel Kárník. Pavel Kárník dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. A collision led to Sunderland FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Björn Gregersson hit a great ball. In the 37th minute, Sunderland FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Anthon Bäckman fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Peder Lindholm's late challenge caught a Sunderland FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Peder Lindholm helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, FC Attunda's Peder Lindholm got a free kick in the 45th minute. Lennart Nyberg made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Mikael Willig sent off a good shot on target. The FC Attunda players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sunderland FC were winning 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Henry Grönlund was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, FC Attunda's goalkeeper Pavel Kárník had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Henry Grönlund. Leif Ström was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 59 minutes into the match. In the 58th minute, one of Sunderland FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sunderland FC. With 67 minutes on the clock, Måns Örtendahl commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 67 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Attunda! Pavel Kárník had in the 69thth minute some difficulties stopping Roger Rudkvist's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 73 minutes into the game, Isac Hafström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Attunda's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sunderland FC the free kick. In the 73rd match minute, FC Attunda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isac Hafström to maneuver through the defense. When FC Attunda's Mikael Willig in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sunderland FC's goalie prevented a goal. After some careless play in the Sunderland FC defense, Göran Springfält kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lennart Nyberg. The Sunderland FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lennart Nyberg should have stopped the shot. The FC Attunda fans' excitement grew in the 81st match minute when FC Attunda's Mikael Willig looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. FC Attunda's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
