When Dani Boldsø fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Skåpafors's protests and gave Dani Boldsø a yellow card for diving instead. Egon Östensson kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. With a little luck, Skåpafors's Jörgen Hultstrand got control of the ball when Rodney Shaw tried to sneak it across the goal line. Manfred Stål could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Jörgen Hultstrand made a huge save. After the first half Skåpafors were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Jörgen Hultstrand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manfred Stål, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. The supporters of Skåpafors booed when Herrhagen Crew was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christopher Eriksson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78th match minute, Herrhagen Crew was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egon Östensson to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over Skåpafors could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Herrhagen Crew throughout the match.
