The supporters of Bollnäs GIF booed when Albins Kamrater was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven-Olof Hasselqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute of the match Arvid Ahlroth shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pelle Sundén showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 13 minutes into the game, Albins Kamrater's Jens-Erik Stålberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Torsten Lövskog made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Frank Kvalfält struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Torsten Lövskog didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Albins Kamrater. A collision led to Bollnäs GIF getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Arvid Ahlroth hit a great ball. In the 19th match minute, Albins Kamrater was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Olof Hasselqvist to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Jens-Ola Gustafsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bollnäs GIF's supporters rose to their feet, but Jens-Ola Gustafsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After having played for 44 minutes, Torbjörn Malmberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Albins Kamrater's supporters crossed their fingers, but Torbjörn Malmberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Bollnäs GIF getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Håkan Fernkvist hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Johan Larsson made a kick off. When Sven-Olof Hasselqvist fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Albins Kamrater's protests and gave Sven-Olof Hasselqvist a yellow card for diving instead. In the 54th match minute, Albins Kamrater was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Olof Hasselqvist to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torbjörn Malmberg in the 56th minute of play forced Bollnäs GIF's goalkeeper Torsten Lövskog to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan Blomqvist couldn't finish the play. Jan Blomqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torsten Lövskog having to interfere. Albins Kamrater's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
