The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kåltorp FF's Ralf Magnusson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdo Alvarenga in the 8th minute of play. Paolo Brosio received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ralf Magnusson came out and tried to block the shot, but Paolo Brosio slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 9th minute. Ralf Magnusson made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Jan-Olof Göransson sent off a good shot on target. Paolo Brosio took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ralf Magnusson. Ralf Magnusson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Matthias Sigman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wiktor Beneth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bror Siöman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Ralf Magnusson made a huge save. With a little luck, Kåltorp FF's Ralf Magnusson got control of the ball when Paolo Brosio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ralf Magnusson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jan-Olof Göransson went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice moves Jan-Olof Göransson could shoot a difficult shot in the 24th minute, which Ralf Magnusson however easily saved by the left post. Tor Rosin charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tor Rosin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 28 minutes into the game, one of Kåltorp FF:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Rinia IF a penalty, 30 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gunnar Fristedt, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Kåltorp FF's Ralf Magnusson. 6-0. After some careless play in the Kåltorp FF defense, Niklas Duset kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ralf Magnusson. The Kåltorp FF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ralf Magnusson should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paolo Brosio in the 46th minute of play forced Kåltorp FF's goalkeeper Ralf Magnusson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. There was no doubt that Rinia IF were the better team. Rinia IF's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
