Jonathan Strand fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Sigfridsson having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Marcus Hedström managed to get in a good position for a shot. IKS Norrköping's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcus Hedström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Åke Magnusson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 10 minutes into the game, Stefan Fredriksson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Åke Magnusson. Stefan Fredriksson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Simon Dahlman in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Åke Magnusson saved Finninge Fotboll from getting behind. 18 minutes into the match, IKS Norrköping's goal looked a bit too open when Andrew Baller came free, but Emanuel Sigfridsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcus Hedström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Åke Magnusson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. In the 31st minute, Jonathan Strand ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emanuel Sigfridsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Åke Magnusson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Hedström in the 42nd minute of play. Åke Magnusson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simon Dahlman, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. 47 minutes into the game, Uno Nordgren was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Finninge Fotboll's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave IKS Norrköping the free kick. A collision led to Finninge Fotboll getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Uno Nordgren hit a great ball. In the 48thth minute of the game Simon Dahlman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Finninge Fotboll's Åke Magnusson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 49th minute IKS Norrköping were awarded a corner. Stefan Fredriksson went to the cornerflag to take it. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcus Hedström was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Finninge Fotboll's goal looked a bit too open when Simon Dahlman came free, but Åke Magnusson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Finninge Fotboll defense, Simon Dahlman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Åke Magnusson. The Finninge Fotboll fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Åke Magnusson should have stopped the shot. In the 62nd minute, Andrew Baller got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 66th minute, Marcus Hedström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Åke Magnusson was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Marcus Hedström put it in 4-2 from a short distance just to the right of Åke Magnusson. Åke Magnusson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcus Hedström's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. In the 78th minute Finninge Fotboll were awarded a corner. Henning Kempf went to the cornerflag to take it. Isaac Sandberg was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 81st minute, Stefan Fredriksson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 87 minutes into the match, Finninge Fotboll's goal looked a bit too open when Stefan Fredriksson came free, but Åke Magnusson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 88 played minutes IKS Norrköping got a freekick which was hit by Sverker Skröder. Tobias Blomqvist charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tobias Blomqvist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Finninge Fotboll booed when IKS Norrköping was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tobias Blomqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stefan Fredriksson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. IKS Norrköping had played much better football throughout.
