AIK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jim Croce ran over to the corner to take the kick. Artetas artilleri's Jim Croce was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sten Walroth in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. AIK's Sten Walroth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brian Jones in the 17th minute of play. Sten Walroth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joakim Brandin, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Sten Walroth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brian Jones in the 23rd minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Brian Jones made a precise shot to the right of Sten Walroth. AIK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The throw-in from Anders Bergkvist in the 29th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Artetas artilleri's Jim Croce. If Brian Jones had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Belchior Boaventura in the 35th minute of play forced Artetas artilleri's goalkeeper Henrik Nyman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henrik Nyman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Belchior Boaventura in the 36th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Artetas artilleri's Viggo Sjöberg got a free kick in the 38th minute. Henrik Nyman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Okan Čiček in the 40th minute. 45 minutes into the match, AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Joakim Brandin came free, but Sten Walroth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Henrik Nyman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Belchior Boaventura, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 69 minutes into the match, AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Joakim Brandin came free, but Sten Walroth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, Brian Jones notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of AIK's Sten Walroth. Sten Walroth was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Noel Abraham in the 75th minute of play forced AIK's goalkeeper Sten Walroth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Artetas artilleri were furious when Viggo Sjöberg was red carded, 92 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 91 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Artetas artilleri! The referee gave AIK a penalty, 93 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by George Browall, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Artetas artilleri's Henrik Nyman. 2-4.
