When the match clock showed 8 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Carmine Topatigh sped through Xkorpions FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sergiu Cioacă. Sergiu Cioacă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rikard Ekerot, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rick Shaw got free with Marius Ettori in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 20th minute Xkorpions FC were awarded a corner. Rinaldo Martino went to the cornerflag to take it. Xkorpions FC's Rinaldo Martino was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marius Ettori in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 21 minutes into the game, Cash Is King's Carmine Topatigh nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sergiu Cioacă made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 27 minutes into the game, Xkorpions FC's Rinaldo Martino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sergiu Cioacă didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Well-Well Qadeishvili went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. After the first half Cash Is King were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Carmine Topatigh made the kick off in the second half. Cash Is King's Marius Ettori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rinaldo Martino in the 53rd minute of play. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Xkorpions FC's goalkeeper Sergiu Cioacă, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Cash Is King booed when Xkorpions FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven-Edvin Nyberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sergiu Cioacă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carmine Topatigh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 61 minutes into the match, Xkorpions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carmine Topatigh came free, but Sergiu Cioacă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Xkorpions FC's zone, Eskil Pedersson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sergiu Cioacă came out of the goal and Eskil Pedersson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A hard shot 68 in the game by Carmine Topatigh from a close distance when the talented Sergiu Cioacă managed to make a qualified save. Xkorpions FC's players were relieved. Rick Shaw fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marius Ettori having to interfere. In the 75thth minute of the game Rinaldo Martino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cash Is King's Marius Ettori was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Well-Well Qadeishvili took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Sergiu Cioacă to make any attempt to save it. Xkorpions FC made a substitution. Jörgen Ekerot replaced Rinaldo Martino. 85 minutes into the game, Jörgen Ekerot cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-5. Marius Ettori was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 88th minute Well-Well Qadeishvili shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergiu Cioacă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cash Is King's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
