Järbo-vallen
Spectators: 8024 (Terracing: 6020,
Seating: 1845, VIP seats: 159) Edvard Gunnarsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Johan Rudberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torgny Forsman in the 7th minute of play forced Järbo's goalkeeper Johan Rudberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Johan Rudberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torgny Forsman in the 8th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, Järbo's goal looked a bit too open when Rickard Nilsson came free, but Johan Rudberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led Thames Ironworks FC's Galo Geromel to fire away a dangerous shot which Johan Rudberg despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Rickard Nilsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johan Rudberg having to interfere. If Torgny Forsman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the match, Thames Ironworks FC's goal looked a bit too open when Karl-Oskar Månsson came free, but Dick Melander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Johan Rudberg came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Thames Ironworks FC's Niklas Bäck. But to his dismay, Niklas Bäck quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Torgny Forsman scored 1-2 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Johan Rudberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Johan Rudberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niklas Bäck in the 36th minute of play. 40 minutes into the game, Christian Säv cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Johan Rudberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 46 minutes, Yngve Wennerquist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Thames Ironworks FC and the Järbo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Thames Ironworks FC's Yngve Wennerquist got a free kick in the 47th minute. A hard shot 48 in the game by Ulaş Hulk from a close distance when the talented Dick Melander managed to make a qualified save. Thames Ironworks FC's players were relieved. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ulaş Hulk was the one to do the kick off. With an all-out effort, Thames Ironworks FC's Johan Rudberg threw himself towards the right post 55 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Niklas Bäck, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to Järbo getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Axel Nordgren hit a great ball. A hard shot by Gösta Granström from long distance, 57 minutes into the match, got Johan Rudberg's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 59th minute, Ahmet Tolga Fidan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute Rickard Nilsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johan Rudberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th minute, Järbo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Torgny Forsman fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a rather tough play, Järbo's Karl-Michael Bäckström got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 68th minute of the match Gösta Granström shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Johan Rudberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Edvard Gunnarsson could shoot a difficult shot in the 70th minute, which Johan Rudberg however easily saved by the left post. After some careless play in the Järbo defense, Niklas Bäck kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Johan Rudberg. The Järbo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Johan Rudberg should have stopped the shot. Järbo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bengt-Rune Wennerlund in the 85th minute. Dick Melander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niclas Modig in the 86th minute of play. In the 88th minute of the match Järbo got a corner. Thames Ironworks FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bengt-Rune Wennerlund ran over to the corner to take the kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Niclas Modig in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dick Melander saved Thames Ironworks FC from getting behind. The Thames Ironworks FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
