Walter Ohara was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 6 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 6th minute of the game. One of Kåge BF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of A2 IF:s goal. Kåge BF:s Roland Backman showed great skill when he stopped Göran Friberger:s penalty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Göran Friberger in the 10th minute of play forced Kåge BF's goalkeeper Roland Backman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute, Kåge BF's Zé Gabriel ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nils-Erik Alin. Nils-Erik Alin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Linus Åström hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. 19 minutes into the game, Toader Drogba cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Roland Backman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 26th play minutes Zé Gabriel shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Nils-Erik Alin and just under the crossbar into goal. Roland Backman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boris Glanselius, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Zé Gabriel in the 32ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nils-Erik Alin, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 34 minutes A2 IF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Torsten Bäcklin who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Zé Gabriel got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Nils-Erik Alin quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Kåge BF's Zé Gabriel in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye A2 IF's goalie prevented a goal. Roland Backman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Göran Friberger in the 42nd minute of play. Zé Gabriel's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 45thth minute, Nils-Erik Alin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Kåge BF's Roland Backman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johannes Trulsson in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

52 minutes into the match, Kåge BF's goalkeeper Roland Backman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Johannes Trulsson. The audience was convinced that Zé Gabriel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nils-Erik Alin was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. 55 minutes into the match, Kåge BF's goal looked a bit too open when Toader Drogba came free, but Roland Backman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, Kåge BF's goalkeeper Roland Backman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Boris Glanselius. With an all-out effort, A2 IF's Roland Backman threw himself towards the right post 65 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Benjamin Metsberg, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Zé Gabriel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kåge BF's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Gabriel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nils-Erik Alin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the A2 IF defense, Ercole Pellicciotta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nils-Erik Alin. The A2 IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nils-Erik Alin should have stopped the shot. A2 IF's Börge Sundström was substituted for Tobias Käller. Jan-Olof Bergman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nils-Erik Alin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. In the 76th minute, Jan-Olof Bergman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nils-Erik Alin was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. With a little luck, Kåge BF's Roland Backman got control of the ball when Johannes Trulsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 89th minute, Göran Friberger left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The A2 IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-3. Roland Backman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Metsberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nils-Erik Alin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan-Olof Bergman in the 96th minute of the match. Jan-Olof Bergman scored 5-3 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nils-Erik Alin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. For all the effort they put into the match, the A2 IF players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Kåge BF.
