Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Szczepan Pysz got the match started through his kick off. Bogumil Jaruzelski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arkadiusz Kloczko kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. In the 11th minute Zachariasz Gieraltowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefan Prosowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute, Tomasz Kon reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Stefan Prosowski. The goal made the score 1-0. If Zachariasz Gieraltowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th match minute, Grosskrösten was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zdzislaw Kuszczak to maneuver through the defense. It was beautiful to see Górnik Zabrze's Zdzislaw Zdrojowy in action when he in the 30th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Stefan Prosowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zachariasz Gieraltowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After 40 played minutes Górnik Zabrze got a freekick which was hit by Tytus Boruta. Szczepan Pysz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zachariasz Gieraltowski in the 44th minute of play forced Grosskrösten's goalkeeper Stefan Prosowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 45 minutes, Piotr Barowicz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Górnik Zabrze and the Grosskrösten players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 46th match minute, Grosskrösten was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Borys Gdowski to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The supporters of Górnik Zabrze booed when Grosskrösten was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artur Filipkowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute, Tadeusz Matuch made a precise shot to the right of Stefan Prosowski. Grosskrösten's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Tymoteusz Drugi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Szczepan Pysz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Borys Gdowski during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Borys Gdowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Górnik Zabrze's Zdzislaw Zdrojowy broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The audience was convinced that Zachariasz Gieraltowski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stefan Prosowski was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lech Walkowski during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lech Walkowski hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Grosskrösten's Marian Figlewski tried to score from far away in the 88th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Zachariasz Gieraltowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stefan Prosowski having to interfere. When Zachariasz Gieraltowski came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Górnik Zabrze fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zachariasz Gieraltowski couldn't finish the play. Piotr Barowicz was shown his second yellow card after 93 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 94 played minutes Górnik Zabrze got a freekick which was hit by Piotr Barowicz. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Szczepan Pysz in the 99th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tymoteusz Drugi saved Górnik Zabrze from getting behind.
