Olgierd Mleczewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sylwester Kochanowicz in the 4th minute of play. Ksawery Sliwinski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hieronim Wawro, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. With a little luck, STAL MIELEC's Olgierd Mleczewski got control of the ball when Sylwester Kochanowicz tried to sneak it across the goal line. FC Tigers's attentive Olgierd Poniewaz managed to snatch the ball when Teofil Furtok made a throw-in in the 12th minute of the game. Ksawery Sliwinski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marian Miazga, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Sylwester Kochanowicz kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Sylwester Kochanowicz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Olgierd Mleczewski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. A collision led to STAL MIELEC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Mariusz Ryback hit a great ball. Sylwester Kochanowicz came free with the goalkeeper in the 25th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Olgierd Mleczewski could save by the left post. Olgierd Mleczewski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sylwester Kochanowicz went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Olgierd Mleczewski stood somewhat misplaced when Sylwester Kochanowicz came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 33 minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hieronim Wawro made a kick off. Ksawery Sliwinski was a little too slow when Hieronim Wawro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 2-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Olgierd Poniewaz managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Tigers's supporters rose to their feet, but Olgierd Poniewaz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olgierd Mleczewski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, FC Tigers's Aureliusz Skonieczny got a free kick in the 67th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomasz Klimkiewicz in the 70th minute of play forced FC Tigers's goalkeeper Ksawery Sliwinski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Tigers's Sylwester Kochanowicz got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sylwester Kochanowicz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Olgierd Mleczewski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, STAL MIELEC's goal looked a bit too open when Sylwester Kochanowicz came free, but Olgierd Mleczewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the FC Tigers defense, Mariusz Ryback kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ksawery Sliwinski. The FC Tigers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ksawery Sliwinski should have stopped the shot. Ksawery Sliwinski was a little too slow when Tomasz Klimkiewicz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 89th minute. The score was now 2-4. Ksawery Sliwinski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marian Miazga in the 92nd minute. Marian Miazga scored 2-5 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ksawery Sliwinski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. STAL MIELEC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
