Spectators: 7172 (Terracing: 5444, Seating: 1669, VIP seats: 59) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ryszard Szel started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd match minute, FC Barcelona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julian Brysz to maneuver through the defense. Lucjan Waselewicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wieslaw Mocko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julian Brysz kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. If Gwidon Kasiewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wieslaw Mocko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Lucjan Waselewicz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucjan Waselewicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wieslaw Mocko in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ryszard Szel in the 21st minute of play forced Odrodzeni Ostrów Wlkp.'s goalkeeper Roman Skrzypiec to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wawrzyniec Bulkiewicz during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 23 played minutes Odrodzeni Ostrów Wlkp. got a freekick which was hit by Wawrzyniec Bulkiewicz. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by Odrodzeni Ostrów Wlkp.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ludomir Badanowski was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Barcelona's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Ludomir Badanowski got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Roman Skrzypiec quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Michal Sikola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Barcelona's Lucjan Waselewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michal Sikola in the 37th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FC Barcelona's zone, Michal Sikola stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucjan Waselewicz came out of the goal and Michal Sikola tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Michal Sikola recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Szczepan Faron charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Szczepan Faron the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 47 played minutes FC Barcelona got a freekick which was hit by Szczepan Faron. The FC Barcelona players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Odrodzeni Ostrów Wlkp. were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wieslaw Mocko made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, FC Barcelona's goalkeeper Lucjan Waselewicz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zenon Dziura. A collision led to Odrodzeni Ostrów Wlkp. getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Andrzej Niedziela hit a great ball. Wieslaw Mocko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Lucjan Waselewicz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roman Skrzypiec showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gwidon Kasiewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. If Michal Sikola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
