Walery Sienkiewicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grzegorz Mudry, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 11th minute, Grzegorz Mudry ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Walery Sienkiewicz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 14th minute Wit Lanczak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walery Sienkiewicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th minute, Grzegorz Mudry made a precise shot to the right of Walery Sienkiewicz. KPL Warszawa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Lucjan Siwy came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by KPL Warszawa's Zachariasz Haszczak. But to his dismay, Zachariasz Haszczak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Pawel Iwanowski took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Walery Sienkiewicz. KPL Warszawa's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 30th minute Wit Lanczak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walery Sienkiewicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pirates FC's Lucjan Siwy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Pirates FC from getting a goal against them. KPL Warszawa's Teofil Bentkowski got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in KPL Warszawa's zone, Wit Lanczak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walery Sienkiewicz came out of the goal and Wit Lanczak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Teofil Bentkowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Pirates FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Walery Sienkiewicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wit Lanczak in the 75th minute of the match. Wit Lanczak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walery Sienkiewicz having to interfere. Lucjan Siwy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teofil Bentkowski in the 83rd minute of play. Grzegorz Mudry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Walery Sienkiewicz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wit Lanczak's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Walery Sienkiewicz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. The supporters of Pirates FC booed when KPL Warszawa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teofil Bentkowski didn't get a good kick on the ball.
