Spectators: 7200 (Terracing: 5400, Seating: 1656, VIP seats: 144) Borkowizna's Herbert Dula started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tomasz Kostrzewa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Herbert Dula showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. The audience was convinced that Herbert Dula's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tomasz Kostrzewa was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Tomasz Kostrzewa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herbert Dula, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Jerzy Rybak came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Borkowizna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jerzy Rybak couldn't finish the play. A collision led to DKI Nowiny Rybnik getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Tolek Nocny hit a great ball. Herbert Dula received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Tomasz Kostrzewa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, DKI Nowiny Rybnik's goalkeeper Tomasz Kostrzewa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jerzy Rybak. With a little luck, DKI Nowiny Rybnik's Tomasz Kostrzewa got control of the ball when Jerzy Rybak tried to sneak it across the goal line. Stanislaw Mis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tomasz Kostrzewa. DKI Nowiny Rybnik's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jerzy Rybak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Lech Burdalski made the kick off in the second half. Tomasz Kostrzewa came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Borkowizna's Herbert Dula. But to his dismay, Herbert Dula quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Beniamin Posadzki struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Dariusz Maruda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DKI Nowiny Rybnik. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Herbert Dula in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomasz Kostrzewa saved DKI Nowiny Rybnik from getting behind. Milosz Gondela hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Lech Burdalski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dariusz Maruda having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Lech Burdalski managed to get in a good position for a shot. DKI Nowiny Rybnik's supporters rose to their feet, but Lech Burdalski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dariusz Maruda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 89 minutes into the match, DKI Nowiny Rybnik's goal looked a bit too open when Herbert Dula came free, but Tomasz Kostrzewa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st minute, Teofil Falke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Lech Burdalski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Borkowizna fans cheered their team off the field, for while DKI Nowiny Rybnik had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
